Brill reel mowers were among the first manufactures to create the modern reel mower marketplace. Brill mowers were introduced to the United States around 1999 and quickly become a very popular push mower. Brill mowers have a silent and contact-free cutting system and require very little maintenance. We started selling the Brill Luxus mowers in 2006 and by 2008 Brill discontinued the Luxus model and released the new RazorCut mowers. The Brill RazorCut has a maximum cutting height of 1.75" and is best suited for shorter cool season grasses, such as bluegrass and fescue. The Brill is very light as there is a lot of plastic so it tends to have trouble cutting thick dense grasses. Be careful when handling the RazorCut as the plastic top cover is fragile and tends to break very easily (this is the number one cause for returns).
